Blast-O-Matic is an doomsday device developed by Kremling Krew with the goal of destroying Kong Island during the events of Donkey Kong 64.

Characteristics

Blast-O-Matic is seen by a muzzle which is a metal pole with three brass rings, which comes out of the belly of K. Rool's Mobile Island Fortress. According to the Blueprints, that weapon is generated by a main computer, connected by 5 surrounding reactors (each with its own color corresponding to one of the five Kongs) and powered by double Bonus Barrels in each chamber.

History

Background information

The weapon was designed and built by Snide during his hiring at the Kremling Krew.[1] When its creator was fired, the Blast-O-Matic was taken over by K. Rool.

Donkey Kong franchise

In Donkey Kong 64, the Blast-O-Matic was ready to be used by the Kremling Krew to destroy the DK Isles until technical problems on the mechanized island interrupted everything. The technical problems had to be repaired with extreme rigor. The existence of this weapon was discovered by the Kong Family when they visited Snide when he needed the blueprint pieces to make technical changes. Before the race against time in the Hideout Helm, the weapon's operation was changed when Snide placed a timer on the moment when K. Rool activates it. Finally, the Blast-O-Matic is completely disabled by the Kong Family when the five Kongs deactivates the reactors.

Super Smash Bros. franchise

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, the Blast-O-Matic is mentioned in K. Rool's trophy description. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the Blast-O-Matic appears on the scene in K. Rool's Final Smash.
