A Bonus Barrel is a type of barrel in the Donkey Kong franchise that leads to a Bonus Level. It first appears in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, replacing the Blast Barrels from Donkey Kong Country that carry the Kongs up into a Bonus Level. In most of their appearances, Bonus Barrels are identifiable from their large B symbol in the center, on a yellow explosion with a red border, and a white-rimmed opening on top.

In DK Country, one of 18-Volt's microgames from WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase, a Bonus Barrel unusually shares its function with a Barrel Cannon, as it blasts Diddy Kong upward as he has to collect bananas while avoiding a red Zinger. The Bonus Barrel's sprites are designed after their sprite in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, albeit less colored, just as with the other graphics in the DK Country microgame itself.

Bonus Barrels have not made any appearances within the Mario franchise. Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Donkey Kong Land 2, and Donkey Kong 64 are the only three Donkey Kong games where Mario appears in the same game as a Bonus Barrel, although he only cameos in the former two games as well as playable in the latter game's port of the Donkey Kong arcade game.
