Cuccos are the species of chickens encountered in the Legend of Zelda series. They appear as a new item and a Smash Run enemy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. Once they are spawned on the stage, they will walk around harmlessly until a player picks it up and throws it at another player. Once this happens, a flock of Cuccos will fly in and try harming the player that triggered the flock by being hit. Any other player that comes in contact with the flock will also be damaged.

Trivia
In the WarioWare: Smooth Moves microgame, Ocarina of Time, Link turns into a Cucco if the player pulls out the sword on the hardest difficulty.
