Dream Events are special-themed Olympic events featured in the Mario & Sonic. Each one takes place in a location from either the Mario franchise or the Sonic the Hedgehog series, rather than the Olympic stadium. Dream Events feature elements and mechanics not present in the regular Olympic events, namely from the Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog franchises, and therefore do not exist in the real world.
