Egg Hammers are powerful Badniks from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, in which they first appear in Sonic Heroes. Their only Mario-related appearances are in the crossover game Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, in both the Wii and Nintendo DS versions, both in which they are designed after their appearance in Sonic Heroes.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (Wii)
In Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games for the Wii, the Egg Hammers appear as obstacles in the Dream Snowboard Cross event on Radical Highway and the Dream Alpine event in Seaside Hill. In gameplay, the Egg Hammers will be standing in one spot on the tracks, but will slowly approach the playable characters when they get close. Get too close, and they will attack with their hammers. Running into or getting attacked by an Egg Hammer will make the playable character fall down and lose speed.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (Nintendo DS)
In Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games for the Nintendo DS, an Egg Hammer appears in the final round of the Ski Shooting event as a boss. During this event, the Egg Hammer will hit the ground with its hammer to stun the playable characters from time to time. To control this Egg Hammer's actions, the player must shoot it. Shoot it enough times while its hammer is raised and it will be defeated. While hitting the Egg Hammer does not score any points, defeating it will cause a large number of 100 point and special targets to appear.
