The Badniks are a group of mass-produced, military robots created by Dr. Eggman that originated from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, where they served as the main enemies fought by Sonic and his friends during their adventures ever since the first Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. In addition to serving as the Eggman Empire's main military backbone, the Badniks have made various appearances within the Mario & Sonic crossover series.
History
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
In the Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, the only Badniks that appear are Egg Pawns and Egg Flappers. Both also appear in the Nintendo DS version. In both games, neither Badniks are shown with any apparent association to Dr. Eggman.
