A Flower Garden from Mario Golf: World Tour

Flower Patches are beds of flowers which have appeared in Mario games. Typically, they serve to restrict the player character's movements in some way.

History

Super Mario series

Flower Patches are also seen in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. They are found scattered around Peach's Castle, as well as other parts of the game. They are small in size and yellow in color. In Super Mario 64 DS, the rabbits often hide within the Flower Patches.

They appear again Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel. Flower patches sparkle when Star Bits or Coins are hidden in them. These collectibles are revealed when the player walks into the patches or shakes the Star Pointer at them.

Mario Golf series

A Flower Patch from Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour

They found in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour. It is found on the course Peach's Castle Grounds. Hitting a ball from out of the Flower Patch affects a player's shot, making it shorter and lower.
