Jack Black

Thomas Jacob "Jack" Black (born August 28, 1969 in Santa Monica, California) is an American actor, comedian, musician, and songwriter. He is best known for his work in Hollywood comedy films, including High Fidelity (2000), Shallow Hal (2001), Orange County (2002), School of Rock (2003), Envy (2004), The Holiday (2006), Gulliver's Travels (2010), Bernie (2011), and The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018), and the Jumanji franchise. Black's most famous role in animation is that of Po in DreamWorks Animation's Kung Fu Panda franchise (alongside Seth Rogen), which incidentally was referenced in GBA Ribbon Road in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with a Kung Fu Lakitu poster. As a musician, he is best known as one half of the comedy rock duo Tenacious D alongside Kyle Gass. Together, they released four studio albums, a television series of the same name, and a 2006 film. In 2018, Black received a placement in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In 2021, Black was revealed as the voice of Bowser in Illumination's untitled Mario film scheduled for release in 2023.[1]
