Monty Mole: Difference between revisions

Monty Mole appears as a playable character in ''[[Super Mario Party]]'' for the first time in the ''Mario Party'' series, thoughas itwell isas Montybeing Mole'stheir fourth time being playable in any ''Mario''appearance gameoverall. As shown in the introductory scenecutscene, [[Bowser]] calls upon Monty Mole, [[Bowser Jr.]], [[Goomba]], [[Boo]], [[Shy Guy]], [[Koopa Troopa]], [[Dry Bones]], [[Hammer Bro]], and [[Pom Pom]] to participate in the party to be crowned "Super Star." Monty Mole's [[Dice Block]] has a +1 coin side instead of a 1; otherwise, it is functionally identical to the normal Dice Block. Fake Monty Moles also appear in the minigame [[Rhythm and Bruise]], where the player's objective is to whack them with hammers to the beat of the music. If the player uses Monty Mole for this minigame, he will start sweating and display a nervous expression. Monty Moles can also cameo in [[Absent Minded]] as one of the characters that can be chosen, though they only appear if nobody is playing as Monty Mole. Like most other characters, a Monty Mole also appears as one of the puzzles in [[Puzzle Hustle]], being depicted as their ''Super Mario World'' sprite. Like all the other playable characters, Monty Mole has both a regular and shiny [[List of stickers in Super Mario Party|sticker]]. Other non-playable Monty Moles can also occasionally be seen walking or running around in the background of [[Party Plaza]], with these Monty Moles being the only non-playable ones that appear in ''Super Mario Party''.

Monty Moles appear in ''[[Mario Party Superstars]]'' as part of [[Woody Woods]], retaining their role from ''[[Mario Party 3]]'', although the Monty Mole huts have been replaced with burrows that serve the same function. Additionally, a Monty Mole can be one of the characters in Woody Woods who can decide which player they think would win during the last five turns. Monty Moles also reprise their roles in the [[Storm Chasers]] and [[Monty's Revenge]], just like in ''[[Mario Party: The Top 100]]''. A Monty Mole [[List of stickers in Mario Party Superstars|sticker]] that has a caption saying "Nice!" can be used as a taunt alongside other stickers found in the game. The encyclopedia entry for Monty Mole states that they appeared in every ''Mario Party'' after ''Mario Party 3'', including ''[[Mario Party 4]]'' (despite never appearing in that game). ''Mario Party 10'' is also listed in the appearances section, despite that game only featuring a boss named [[Mega Monty Mole]], with no regular Monty Moles appearing in the ''Mario Party 10''game.
