Monty Moles make a few appearances in the ''[[Mario Undōkai]]'' arcade game, usually using their design from ''[[Super Mario World]]''. Monty Mole's most prominent role is in the {{wp|Whac-a-Mole}} minigame, where Mario has to use his [[hammer]] to hit the Monty Moles as they jump out of the [[pipe]]s, with the goal being to hit as many Monty Moles as possible. This is the first game to feature Monty Moles in a Whac-a-Mole minigame.

Monty Moles also appear in the running minigame, where they appear as one of the enemies Mario needs to dodge while he collects coins. Like the other enemies, Monty Moles will be instantly defeated when coming into contact with [[Invincible Mario]]. A singular Monty Mole also has a minor role in the [[discus toss]] minigame from the [[sports course]], where after a character's discus has landed upon being thrown, a Monty Mole appears on-screen, holding a sign, and flips it over, with the sign displaying the number of meters in which it was thrown. Incidentally, Monty Moles would not return as Discus referees in the ''[[Mario & Sonic]]'' series, let alone as referees for any of the Olympic events.
