Although Monty Moles are not present in the original version of Super Mario Bros. 3 (though their relative Rocky Wrench made their debut in said game), in Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, the king of Iced Land is turned into a Monty Mole by Lemmy Koopa. In Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, Monty Moles also appeared as enemies in the World-e level Ground Work. In this level, Monty Moles look and act like how they did in Super Mario World. Additionally, some Monty Moles hide beneath grass patches and are released upon the player plucking them. Like in Super Mario World, Monty Moles can easily be defeated using any method of attack.
