Monty Moles appear in the "Moo Moo Farm in Real Life" skit of the ''{{wp|Robot Chicken}}'' episode "May Cause a Squeakquel." The humans refer to them as "gophers," like in the ''Super Mario World'' television series. In one scene, while [[Mario]] and the others are racing on [[Moo Moo Farm]], they drive over a few gophers along the way, killing the gophers and causing their blood to splatter everywhere. At the end of a skit, when a woman dies from touching an upside down [[Item Box]], a gopher comes out from under the ground and takes her head down with it.
