Grand Goombas make their first appearance in ''[[Super Mario Bros. 3]]'', where they are only encountered in [[Big Island]], with [[Gargantua Koopa Troopa]]s and the [[Piranhacus Giganticus]]. DespiteGrand theirGoombas, massivealong sizewith the two aforementioned enemies, theyfirst doappear notin pose[[World much4-1 of(Super aMario threatBros. [[Jump3)|JumpingWorld 4-1]]. onDespite themtheir oncemassive orsize, swingingGrand Mario'sGoombas tailhave little difference from regular Goombas aside from their size. Just as with regular Goombas, a Grand Goomba can be quickly defeated from either being [[jump]]ed on, by having [[Raccoon Mario|Raccoon Suit]] or [[Tanooki Mario|Tanooki]] Suitswing at it with his tail, or by having [[Fire Mario]] defeatsshoot thema like[[fireball]] regularat GoombasGrand Goomba.
