:::::::Well they did act like the [[Mario Portal]] misnaming Monty as Rocky Wrench was a legitimate alternate name for them (even though it is not, as the Mario Portal has been proven to be unreliable due to how many errors and misnames that site has similarly to the English ''Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia''), but the main reason is this [https://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Monty&type=revision&diff=4200904&oldid=4193765 somewhat recent edit], where they for some reason made a bold claim of Monty being the exact same as Rocky Wrench other than Japanese and filename (which is completely false, as Monty has no connections to Rocky Wrench beyond just a similar attack pattern, and no English sources (other than the proven to be unreliable Mario Portal) ever even made any connection of them being related to Rocky Wrench and simply just generically referred to them as moles. If anything, the Japanese and filenames for Monty having no connections to Rocky Wrenches further proves that the two species are unrelated to each other). The wiki also [https://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Gallery%3ARocky_Wrench&type=revision&diff=4200975&oldid=4200918 added Undergrunt-related images] to the variants section of the Rocky Wrench page (which is stupid since like I stated previously, the Undergrunt species are an unrelated mole species).
