'''Mawful Moles''' are a species of [[Monty Mole]] enemies with [[Fawful]]-like attributes that are found as enemies in [[Blubble Lake]] infrom the''[[Mario game& Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story]]'' and its [[Nintendo 3DS]] remake, ''[[Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey]]''. [[Bowser]] can defeat theseMawful Moles in the overworld by simply crushing them and earning some [[Coincoin]]s in the process, while [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] can engage them in battle. TheyMawful Moles also have a stronger [[Metal Mawful Mole|metal variant]] encountered laterin on[[Peach's Castle Garden]] found later in the game.

TheyMawful Moles attack by throwing boulders at the Mario Bros., which is countered by a [[jump]]. If theythe Mawful Mole getgets dirt on their facesface, they will miss and throw itthe boulder really high, which will hurt the brothers if they jump, but will miss if they stand still. The Mawful Moles have another attack, in-which they "wink", showing which brother they are going to attack. This attack can be countered with the [[hammer]], which can be done several times while the Mawful Mole is popping out of the jokesholes until they jump over the selected brother to fall on him which causes damage. However, this attack can also be countered with the hammer, which results in the Mawful Mole being forced back in the hole it came out from.

Mawful Moles also appear as support enemies in the giant battle against the [[Tower of Yikk]], in whichwhere a group of them will sometimes repair the tower to restore its HP. Bowser can quickly defeat these Mawful Moles easily by breathing fire on them.

In ''[[Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey]]'', Mawful Moles have the coloration and proportions of regular Monty Moles (with many of the sprites of Mawful Moles now having a strong resemblance to the Monty Mole sprites infrom ''[[Mario & Luigi: Dream Team]]'' and ''[[Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam]]''). Additionally, they now take critical damage from hammer attacks. In the Tower of Yikk battle, the Mawful Moles now gainhave an extra line of dialogue before repairing the Tower. This makes Mawful Moles (along with [[Fawflant]]s and technically [[Fawfulcopter]]s) one of the very few Fawful themed enemies to be shown talking on-screenonscreen (though this only applies to ''Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey'', as Mawful Moles had no dialogue in the remakeoriginal [[Nintendo DS|DS]] version).
