The Northern Kremisphere (originally as Kong Country) is a mainland located on southern from DK Isles which serves as main setting of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III.[1]
Geography
The mainland is full of coves that surround the lagoons, waterfalls, sea rocks which blocks the way and beachs. The various lands are planted with maple trees, pines, flowers and palm trees. The landscapes of this place are completely separate which include: lakes, glaciers, forests, cliffs and jungles. The native architecture is wooden huts, abandoned mills and an old brick castle.[2] With the arrival of the Kremling remnants, factories and sewers were established.
History
Background information
Prior to the events of the game series, there were rumors which that mainland was explored by Cranky Kong in 5:15 hrs.
Following the Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest/Donkey Kong Land 2 in which the Crocodile Isle disappears from map, some lands served as shelters for Kremlings who served the Kremling Krew.[3][4][5] The entire mainland was conquered by Kremling Kreeps which was regrouped by KAOS.[6][7]
Donkey Kong franchise
In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, the mainland was explored by Dixie Kong with her cousin Kiddy Kong company to find DK and Diddy who disappeared for 2 days ago.[8] Throughout the plot, the corners from mainland are crossed thanks to Funky Kong's vehicles which are constructed in his rentals. All lands are free thanks for pair for dismiss the Kremling Kreeps, to destroy KAOS, save DK & Diddy, defeat K. Rool countless times, perform the Brothers Bear's services and free all Banana Birds.
In Donkey Kong Land III, the mainland hosted the contest for whon find the legendary Lost World and the winner will get fame and fortune.[9] Dixie with Kiddy and K. Rool with Kremling Kreeps are the participants of this contest. The locations were explored by Dixie & Kiddy to find the Lost World before K. Rool.

- Player's Guide (page 4): There are eight areas to explore in the Northern Kremisphere. Not counting Bear cabins, Secret Caves or major baddie hangouts, that means you have over forty levels to conquer before finishing the game. Rumor has it — and it might just be simian senility — that Cranky Kong covered all the levels and found everything in five hours and fifteen minutes!
