When the player reaches 100 points, it stops raining for a brief moment before raining again. As the player progresses in the game, the raindrops will fall faster. In hard mode, a crow will appear and move the clotheslines, similar to Waluigi's role in modern mode.

Rain Shower is a game in Game & Watch Gallery 4. In the game, Bowser throws paint balloons at Toad and Donkey Kong Jr. (Or in hard mode; Luigi, Yoshi, and Wario). Mario must move them out of the way by moving the clotheslines. Additionally, Princess Peach and the others, who hasn't appeared yet, will join later in the game. This game also features the rare 3-Up Moon from Super Mario World. If Mario collects five 3-Up Moons, he will knock out Bowser off the tree, earning large amount of points. If Mario reaches 100 points, a P-Switch will appear. He will then activate it, causing the paint balloons on screen to turn into Coins; awarding him points. Each 200 points will change the season. In hard mode, Waluigi will appear. He will attempt to move the clotheslines, making it difficult for Mario to protect his friends.
