Wrenches are a type of object thrown by Rocky Wrenches in the Mario franchise, and are similar to the wrenches in the real world. Wrenches first appear in Super Mario Bros. 3, along with Rocky Wrenches themselves. In the Super Mario series, Rocky Wrenches often throw a wrench in a straightforward pattern.

In most games, Mario, Luigi or another character take damage upon touching a wrench. In Super Mario 3D Land, it is possible for either character to jump on a wrench.
