The stage at first takes place on a platform, that is similar in design to the Battlefield stage. Later in the stage, it lands on the Halberd itself. The stage continues to be a Battlefield-stage, however, the background has an added gimmick. A double-barreled battery is in the background, which also has an extended robot arm on its side. It will occasionally shoot ray beams, missiles, and even attack with its robot hand punching. This causes severe problems for the fighters if they are unlucky or targeted. Players must use strategy to make the weapons hit their opponents.

Solid Snake somehow found his way aboard the Halberd and he is hiding inside his box. However, after he thinks its safe to come out, he takes off the box and meets up with Lucario and Meta Knight. They all fight Primids and later they see the Peach and Zelda trophies trapped in cages that look the same as Petey Piranha's. Zelda turns into Sheik and the two advance to the top of the Halberd. They do not see Snake but Fox in his Arwing trying to rematch the Halberd. As the Arwing fires shots at the Halberd and almost hits Peach, Sheik thinks Fox is the enemy and Sheik breaks the cockpit of the Arwing and it fell to the ground. Fox and Sheik jump out of the Arwing, land in the Halberd and try to hurt each other. Peach stops them and tells them to drink some tea. Fox is confused and surprised but he decides to drink the tea. Snake jumps out of the window with them, landing next to Peach, Sheik and Fox. All the Game & Watches but one (the real Mr. Game & Watch) turn into Shadow Bugs which create another boss enemy, Duon. Falco in his Arwing, flies in and jumps off the Arwing. The trophy of the real Mr. Game and Watch is left behind. After this, Meta Knight takes control of the Halberd. It is seen for the last time as all of the ships charge into Subspace, and it is destroyed. The heroes' ships fly out of it, and all successfully ride into Subspace.
Meta Knight has taken control of the Halberd and, a long with Captain Falcon's ship, goes over to the desert, where they pick up all the characters in the game except for the villains, Ganondorf, Wario (who is in Subspace), and Bowser. Also, Ness, Luigi and King Dedede, who are trapped in the castle (which was drawn into Subspace). They all hop in the Halberd and take off to the sky where they try shooting down Bowser and Ganondorf's Subspace Gunship but fail. However, Bowser and Ganondorf shoot the Halbred with the collosal cannon (ripping a hole through it from front to back) and destroy it. Somehow, everyone inside the Halberd survive and end up in one of the other four ships (Samus's Gunship, Fox's Arwing, Captain Falcon's ship, Captain Olimar's ship and Kirby's Dragoon). All the spacecrafts fight Ganondorf and Bowser's cannon. Kirby smashes through the cannon using the Dragoon, destroying it, so Ganondorf and Bowser return to Subspace.
