Pikmin are the main species and namesake of the video game series, Pikmin. They cameo'd in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, where they would pop out of the ground if the ball was hit in a flower patch. On top of this cameo, Pikmin appear as assist characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Although not exactly playable, Captain Olimar is completely helpless if he does not pluck Pikmin from the ground (very likely one of his Special Moves). Without them, Olimar can't even use a Smash Attack, so Pikmin must always be out on the field if Olimar is to be used properly. However, the Pikmin may also scatter across the stage, making it hard for Olimar to attack correctly. If these problems are countered, Olimar is able to battle his opponents. |
