The Ancient Minister is the main antagonist of the Subspace Emissary in the game Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He is the leader of the Subspace Army and plans to pull the whole Super Smash Bros. World into Subspace using Subspace Bombs. He is capable of flight and the bottom part of his body can fire lasers. He can be commonly seen carrying Subspace Bombs around the land however at times he can be seen without it.

History

Ruler of the World

Back then, he and the other minsters of this world (the Smash Bros. World) lived in a floating island. The Ancient Minister was the ruler of the world and he watched all the trophies fight. However, soon, Tabuu attacks the world and kills all the other ministers (R.O.B.) of the world. The Ancient Minister and the remaining robots then are left very depressed as some of their friends have died. The Ancient Minister is forced into service by Ganondorf attempts to destroy the whole Smash Bros. World, though at the cost of many of his fellow robots. However, the trophies of the world do not like the fact that he is trying to destroy everything and team up to stop him.

Joining the Gang

He escapes from Mario and Pit, fights Marth, Meta Knight and Ike in a desert, fights Mario, Pit, Kirby, Yoshi and Link in the same desert and destroys King Dedede's Castle by sending it into Subspace. However, later, Samus and Pikachu enter the factory that the Ancient Minister and the other Ministers used to be in. However, Ancient Minister is very sad and refuses to fight with Samus and Pikachu. Samus lowers her arm cannon as Donkey Kong, Captain Falcon, Diddy Kong and Captain Olimar enter. The Ancient Minister still refuses a fight but then Ganondorf appears as a hologram. The Ganondorf hologram is able to reprogroam all the R.O.B.s in his side and the R.O.B.s betray the Ancient Minister and attack him. They burn his clothes and leave the Ancient Minister suffering with fire.

The R.O.B.s then bring out Subspace Bombs and activate them. Ganondorf then sends enemies to attack but the Ancient Minister, still in flames, fires them with lasers. The Ancient Mnister rips his flaming clothes off revealing what is behind the Minister's clothes. Like the other ministers, he is a R.O.B. He then decides to not destroy the world after all and teams up with the gang to stop Ganondorf. However, the gang still has to escape from the Subspace Bombs. Diddy Kong tries telling R.O.B., the Ancient Minister, to command his R.O.B.s to stop the bombs but R.O.B. shakes his head-it can't be done. Captain Falcon tells the gang to follow him.

Fighting Tabuu

Donkey Kong grabs the minister and takes him to the Falcon Flyer where the rest of the gang is. They fly off with Meta Ridley trying to slow them. The party is able to stop Meta Ridley from following them, and the Falcon Flyer leaves the island right as its sucked into Subspace. The Falcon Flyer lands at the desert where the rest of the party is. The Halberd, now with Snake, Meta Knight, Lucario, Princess Peach, Princess Zelda, Fox and Mr. Game & Watch on board (somehow Falco left the ship) arrives right next to the Falcon Flyer. The characters all reunite and they all fly to Bowser and Ganondorf's Doomship and try to stop them from destroying everything. Altough the Halberd is destroyed, the characters are able to survive by getting into all the other ships.

After Kirby destroys the Doomship with Dragoon, the Falcon Flyer and all the others head into Subspace where they meet up with Tabuu. Altough Tabuu defeats them the first time, Luigi, King Dedede and Ness come in and revive everyone. The Ancient Minister is revived and if the player chooses him, he gets to finally fight Tabuu. The characters all defeat Tabuu and return the Smash World to peace.

The commander of the Subspace Army who uses Subspace Bombs to tear up this world. He was once the lord of this world, living on the floating Island of the Ancients with many robots--but the robots were taken hostage on Tabuu's orders. Now that their home's a bomb factory, the robots carry out their functions while enduring deep sadness caused by the loss of their colleagues.
