Klump (also known as Kannon) is one of the most powerful Kremlings in the Kremling Krew who serves as K. Rool's loyal right-hand man and the second-in-command of organization.[2]
Despite being a military superior, Klump is completely clumsy, always treated poorly by his leader and a commander with great loyalty.
Characteristics
Klump is a purple/green/pink/brown obese Kritter with yellow belly and yellow triple chevrons tattooed on the shoulders.
His normal costumes is a strong green helmet with yellow triple chevrons, a belt with green pockets and black military boots with white laces. As pirate, he wears a black pirate hat with a human skull and crossbones, two gold earrings, a black eye patch, a dark brown belt with a gold buckle, and brown pirate boots. In Donkey Kong 64, Klump is on his normal outfit, but what he wears differently is a yellow shirt. In Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, Klump wears a wooden bucket on his head and wears green pants.
History
Background information
Prior of the Donkey Kong Country, Klump was sent by K. Rool as a sergeant to go on Kong Island, he oversaw the construction of Kremkroc Industries Inc. and mining for the purpose of obtaining some resource and bringing it to Crocodile Isle.[3][4][5] Klump soon discovers that has a Banana Hoard located on Kongo Jungle.[6]

Main series
In Donkey Kong Country, Klump leads the half of the Kremling Krew to take the Donkey Kong's Banana Hoard and wait the Gangplank Galleon to leave. Klump's only defense is his helmet which is resistant to Diddy's stomping, but he proves weak when he is defeated by DK's stomp and Diddy's cartwheel.
Like other Kremling Krew members during the events of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest/Donkey Kong Land 2, Klump is ordered by K. Rool to dress up as a pirate of the Kremling Kuthroats' time.[7][8][9] Nicknamed as Kannon, Klump patrolled areas of Crocodile Isle to prevent Diddy and Dixie from saving the Donkey Kong who was kidnapped by his boss. Klump was considered to be the best user of this weapon as a gunner in which he shoots barrels & cannonballs (forward and downwards). Unfortunately for his disadvantage as a pirate, Klump has no head protection and can be vulnerable to Diddy & Dixie.
In Donkey Kong 64, Klump together with Kasplat and chief technician is called by K. Rool on a mission to steal the Golden Bananas and kidnap the 4 Kongs to buy time to fix the Blast-O-Matic. He can slam the Kongs with his belly and throw the unripe Grenade Oranges. He can also be seen eating his Oranges, which is comically followed by an explosion in his stomach, causing him to burp. He can be defeated by Orange Grenades, shockwaves, musical instrument power or Hunky Chunky. When is defeated, Klump spins around, makes a military salute and collapses leaving three Orange Grenades.

In Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, K. Rool is sixteenth playable character from selection in which his Boost is 2 out of 5, Speed is 4 out of 5 and Agility are 1 out of 5. His counterpart is the Lanky Kong. If the player complete the Challenge 16 of Candy's Challenges, he will be unlocked.
Appearances in other media
In animated series from 1996, Klump has the same role as the games. But his personal life is revealed in the episode The Kongo Bongo Festival of Lights. When Klump was a child, he played with the fireworks that unintentionally burned the swamps along with his home and his older brother Skurvy defended him by taking the blame for the disaster he didn't commit.[10][11]

- SNES Nintendo Player's Guide (page 13): Klump is quite a character. He's like a big, overweight drill sergeant. He's not fast — how could he be? He waddles along like a duck, blocking every ape in his path. Donkey Kong has no trouble putting Klump out of his misery, but here again, lack of size counts against Diddy as he has to hit Klump twice to off him. If Diddy jumps on Klump's head, Klump will back up and prepare for battle. Diddy can then just do a powerful cartwheel right through him.
