Name Image Game Description
Rayquaza File:Rayquaza Trophy.jpg GBA Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire A Sky High Pokémon. It normally resides high up in the ozone layer where it flies endlessly, so it is rarely seen. However, when Groudon and Kyogre began to fight, it appeared to calm them down. It has the ability Air Lock, which blocks all weather-condition effects. It has exceedingly strong abilities, and its attack power is especially remarkable.

Trivia

  • Rayquaza is the only non-playable Pokémon and non-Poké Ball Pokémon to get its own sticker.
  • Rayquaza never interacted with anyone from its own series, which is something that Petey Piranha, Porky, and Ridley did.
  • Interestingly enough, the move "Dragon Pulse" (a Dragon-type special attack in the Pokémon games) is super effective (x2 damage) on Rayquaza (being a Dragon/Flying-type), which explains the reason why Rayquaza fainted when being hit by it.
  • In the Pokémon series, Rayquaza does not hide in a lake. It actually lives in the ozone layer, and protects the Pokémon planet from various objects, such as meteors.
