A Gold Bro (also called a Coin Bro) is a golden variant of the Hammer Bro, Boomerang Bro, and Fire Bro found in New Super Mario Bros. 2. They are transformed into Gold Bros if Mario or Luigi touches a Gold Ring. Gold Bros throw coins, rather than their usual weapons. They will only hurt the player if direct contact is made with it from above or the side. Defeating a Gold Bro earns Mario or Luigi 20 coins.
