Badniks are robotic enemies created by Dr. Eggman in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. They are the main enemies fought by Sonic and his friends during their adventures, ever since the first Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. Badniks have made various appearances within the Mario & Sonic crossover series. Badniks are a sentient robotic species that have a wide range of members, with some merely being based on technology whereas others are based on living creatures such as animals and plants.
