The Yellow Devil is a stage boss who appears on the Wily Castle stage in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and later Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. A recurring character and boss in the Mega Man series, the Yellow Devil appears at random, appearing from the background. It attacks as it does in its series of origin by moving piece by piece from one side of the stage to another and by shooting lasers out of its eye, which is also its only weak point. When the Yellow Devil is defeated, it will explode and damage everyone caught in it except the person who landed the final blow and that person's team if friendly fire is off.

Deal damage to it by attacking the eye, or hide behind its body to avoid your foes. Be careful— whoever deals the final blow triggers an enemy-launching explosion! This towering foe splits himself into small bits to move across the stage and wreak havoc. If you can get behind him, you can use him as a shield and also hit his eye more easily. Hit his eye enough and he'll explode! Try to get your opponents caught in the explosion to do some real damage!
