Big Grinders are larger variants of Grinders that have made a few appearances in the Super Mario series. They first appear in Super Mario Galaxy 2.
History
In Super Mario Galaxy 2, they act the same as normal Grinders, but are slower and generally cut down larger platforms.
In New Super Mario Bros. 2, Big Grinders appear in World 3-, and later return in the third level of the Impossible Pack. Like regular Grinders, they can only be defeated by touching them with either an Invincibility Leaf or a Super Star. Big Grinders tend to come from the ceiling or from underwater to chase Mario and Luigi for a while before retreating.
