  • Although Dracula himself never appeared in any Mario media until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, King Koopa had a disguise based on Dracula in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show and tried to Vampirize Princess Toadstool. In addition, at least one Nintendo element was referenced in a few Castlevania games in the form of the Skeleton Ape, which was derived from Donkey Kong in terms of attacks.
