Geemers (originally called "Zoomers") are recurring enemies throughout the Metroid series. They are spiked, bug-like enemies that move along the terrain.
Geemers also appear in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS as Smash Run enemies, their appearance based upon that from Super Metroid.
