Golden Monty Moles[1] are a golden variant of Monty Mole that appear exclusively in Mario Party 6. Golden Monty Moles mostly resemble regular Monty Moles, but unlike their regular counterparts, they have golden fur and a red nose.
Golden Monty Moles make their only appearance in the minigame Mole-it!. In the minigame, Golden Monty Moles function identically to the normal Monty Moles that also appear in the minigame, as they occasionally pop their heads out of the pipes. Golden Monty Moles appear less frequently than their normal counterparts, however, Golden Monty Moles award the player three points when being hit, unlike the regular Monty Moles who only give one point.
Trivia
- In Super Mario Party, the playable Monty Mole can drink the Golden Drink item to become golden. However, this form is completely unrelated to the Golden Monty Moles from Mario Party 6.
- Golden Monty Moles are one of the few golden enemies to not be affiliated with New Super Mario Bros. 2 .
- Coincidentally, Golden Monty Moles are very similar to a species of mole in real life known as the golden mole.
