Appearances
First appearance Yoshi's Woolly World (2015)
Latest appearance Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World (2017)

Monty Mole Patches are two-dimensional patch variants of Monty Moles that appear in Yoshi's Woolly World and its Nintendo 3DS remake, Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World. Monty Mole Patches are sentient pictures of Monty Moles found in the certain parts of the terrain.[1] They also heavily resemble the jumping pose that Monty Moles make when jumping out of the ground in most of the 2D games.

Monty Mole Patches can be found exclusively in the levels Yoshi and Cookies and Big Montgomery's Bubble Fort. Like other patch enemies, Monty Mole Patches are found in blocks of yarn and are released once Yoshi unties them with his tongue. When a Monty Mole Patch is released, they behave as normal Monty Moles and attempt to chase Yoshi, but they can easily be defeated with a stomp. Unlike normal Monty Moles however, Monty Mole Patches cannot be eaten by Yoshi. In the Scrapbook Theater, Monty Mole Patches continually move left and right.
