This article is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it's being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.

It has been requested that this article be rewritten and expanded to include more information. Reason: Add the information from the 3DS version to the Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions section of the Monty Mole page and remove it from this page. Also, replace every instance of this page generically referring to Presenters as "moles" with Presenter instead.

The title of this article is official, but it comes from a non-English source. If an official name from an English source is found that is not from the English Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia or the English Mario Portal, the article should be moved to its appropriate title.

Presenter, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
A Presenter giving Mario and Luigi a 1-Up Super in Bowser's Castle.

Presenters (also generically referred to as "moles"[1][2]) are a friendly species of Monty Mole featured in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Presenters are yellow moles that heavily resemble Mega Moles and wear a red bowtie. Presenters are usually hidden in various locations, usually in a hidden area or after an optional hidden platforming challenge. They give presents to Mario and Luigi, such as items, clothing, or badges. Asking them again after getting the item will result in them telling the player that they are greedy, and that they cannot receive any more items. In the original game, there are 11 Presenters that can be found in total.

In the Nintendo 3DS remake Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, Presenters were replaced with bowtie wearing Monty Moles,[3] although these Monty Moles function the exact same as the Presenters from the original game (including the same dialogue). In addition to there being 11 Monty Moles in the same spots that the Presenters were in the original game, an additional twelfth Monty Mole exclusive to this remake can be found within Beanbean Fields.

Presenters can be found within Hoohoo Mountain, Beanbean Fields, Oho Oasis, Joke's End and Bowser's Castle.

Trivia

  • In the section talking about the Presenter in Joke's End from the Nintendo Power guidebook, it explicitly makes a reference to real life moles.[5]
  • Despite Presenters not reappearing in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, the standard Monty Moles that replaced them would be referred to as Presenter in the game's files.[6] This likely suggests that Presenters were initially planned to return in the remake, but were later replaced with standard Monty Moles at some point during development.
