- “He says if we want the Mini Stars back, then you have to battle for them! That sounds...serious!”
- —Toad repeating what Mega Rocky Wrench said, Super Mario Party Jamboree
Mega Rocky Wrench is an enlarged Rocky Wrench employed by Imposter Bowser1 who appears as a boss in Super Mario Party Jamboree. Despite looking identical to any standard Rocky Wrench (using their redesign from the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass), Mega Rocky Wrench is unique due to being way more bigger and powerful. As shown during their boss minigame, Mega Rocky Wrench resides in a large Airship and is accompanied by several standard Rocky Wrenches that they command to help aid them during battle.
History
In Super Mario Party Jamboree, Mega Rocky Wrench serves as the third boss of the Party-Planner Trek campaign, where they are fought at the end of Rainbow Galleria. After the player has completed all of the necessary tasks on the board, Mega Rocky Wrench suddenly appears and creates a vortex to steal all of the Mini Stars the player had collected from doing the tasks. This leaves the player (and any available characters that they had helped prior to this) to jump into the vortex to fight Mega Rocky Wrench in their boss minigame Mega Rocky Wrench Wreckers in order take back the stolen Mini Stars.
During the boss minigame, Mega Rocky Wrench will continually pop in and out of the various manholes scattered throughout the bottom and middle rows of the Airship, with the players needing to shoot them by using their cannons in order to damage the boss, which can be made harder due to how nimble Mega Rocky Wrench tends to be. Alongside Mega Rocky Wrench themself, groups of four standard Rocky Wrenches will also frequently appear in the various manholes to either help distract the players from shooting at Mega Rocky Wrench, or by throwing wrenches at the four players, which the players can only counter by either shooting the Rocky Wrench beforehand to stun them, or by shooting and destroying the wrenches before they get hit. If one of the players does get hit by one of the wrenches, they will lose 3 points and be temporarily stunned. The cycle continues until Mega Rocky Wrench loses half of their health, in which they become enraged and calls upon several more Rocky Wrenches to help them. During the second phase of the fight, both Mega Rocky Wrench and their Rocky Wrench minions can appear in the manholes on the upper row of the Airship, making it harder to predict where Mega Rocky Wrench will appear next. The standard Rocky Wrenches will also appear more frequently during this phase, making it harder to focus on shooting Mega Rocky Wrench due to the many oncoming wrenches thrown by the other Rocky Wrenches that the players need to shoot down. Mega Rocky Wrench also gains a new attack in this phase, in which they will go to the top middle manhole and throw a massively sized wrench at the four players, which takes way more shots in order to be destroyed and will hit all four players if it is not shot down on time. The cycle continues up until Mega Rocky Wrench loses all of their health, in which they will collapse back into their manhole and explode, causing the Airship itself to shake and all of their Rocky Wrench minions to be sent flying away.

After being defeated, Mega Rocky Wrench begrudgingly returns the stolen Mini Stars back to the player before closing up their vortex and leaving. After beating Mega Rocky Wrench in the Party-Planner Trek campaign, the player will be rewarded with a topiary in their likeness, as well as being able to rematch them anytime they want by going up to a sign in Rainbow Galleria. Additionally, Mega Rocky Wrench, alongside all of the other bosses in the game, can be fought in the unlockable Boss Rush mode found in Minigame Bay, though their fight remains unchanged. Posters of Mega Rocky Wrench can also be found throughout Rainbow Galleria in both Mario Party mode and in the Party-Planner Trek campaign.

Trivia
- Mega Rocky Wrench is notable for being the first Monty Mole species member for several things:
- The first notable member of the Rocky Wrench family, excluding manga and unused appearances.
- The first Monty Mole species boss to not be a derivative of Monty Mole directly, as well as being the first boss based on Rocky Wrench.
- Despite this, there were initial plans for a Rocky Wrench boss to appear in Super Mario Odyssey over 6 years before Mega Rocky Wrench's debut, though this Rocky Wrench boss was later replaced with Rango in the final game.
- The first unique member of the Monty Mole species to be created since Paper Mario: The Origami King back in 2020.
- Excluding Imposter Bowser, both Mega Rocky Wrench and Mega Stingby are the only original bosses from Super Mario Party Jamboree.
- Ironically enough, both bosses have regular members of their species helping aid them during their boss battles.
- Mega Rocky Wrench shares several similarities to Big Montgomery from Yoshi's Woolly World, as both are enlarged members of the Monty Mole species that serve as bosses in both of their respective games, as well as commanding regular members of their species to help aid them during their boss fights.
Notes
1 - In the unlockable Boss Rush mode found at Minigame Bay, Imposter Bowser refers to all of the bosses from the game as his minions, effectively confirming that both Mega Rocky Wrench and the other bosses were under his command despite it never being shown during the Party-Planner Trek campaign.
