Rocket Belt
File:Rocket Bell Wii U.jpg
The Rocket Belt in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
First appearance Pilotwings (1991, Pilotwings series)
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS (2014, Mario-related media)
Latest appearance Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (2014)

The Rocket Belt is one of the several flight modes available in the Pilotwings series which also appears as an item in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. When equipped, it allows players to continuously fly as long as the jump button is held down, similar to R.O.B.'s Robo Burner move. If the player flies for too long, however, the player will be unable to fly for a short time; in that case, instead of blue flame, black smokes come out from the vent of the Rocket Belt. After the Rocket Belt is used up, it flies straight into the air, which can also hit and carry opponents with it.
