Blue Falcon as seen in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

The Blue Falcon is Captain Falcon's signature vehicle in the F-Zero series. Due to being the most recognizable vehicle in the F-Zero series, it has received cameos and appearances in other non-F-Zero titles, including some Mario games.

History

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

The Blue Falcon made a small cameo in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Here, Hinopio kept a model of the Blue Falcon inside his store. In addition, he had a model of Samurai Goroh's racer as well, the Fire Stingray. He even stored an Arwing.

Super Smash Bros. series

The Blue Falcon has made at least one appearance in every Super Smash Bros. game to date.

Super Smash Bros.

In the original Super Smash Bros., the Blue Falcon is featured in Captain Falcon's on-screen appearance. It drives up to the stage and ejects Captain Falcon just as the battle begins.

Super Smash Bros. Melee

The Blue Falcon did not make the same type of appearance in Super Smash Bros. as it did in Melee. Here, it is shown on Captain Falcon's Classic Mode Trophy, placed behind him. It also appears on Mute City and Big Blue, featured as one of the vehicles in the race (regardless of whether Captain Falcon is in the battle).

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

On-screen appearances were revived in Brawl, and so the Blue Falcon was shown as Captain Falcon's just as it was in the original Super Smash Bros. Aside from this, it appeared on Big Blue once again, which had been recreated from Melee. It also appears on the new stage Port Town Aero Dive, playing the same role as it does on Mute City and Big Blue.

The Blue Falcon is also Captain Falcon's Final Smash. Here, Captain Falcon calls the vehicle once he obtains the Smash Ball, and it drives past at high speed and hits anybody next to the captain. The victims land on a track, where Captain Falcon speeds towards them and runs them over. When returning to the stage, the victims are automatically sent flying. The Blue Falcon is the only Final Smash to feature a cinematic cutscene. Because it is a Final Smash, the Blue Falcon has its own Trophy instead of sharing one with Captain Falcon. It also has a Sticker in the game.

The Subspace Emissary

The Blue Falcon is briefly featured in The Subspace Emissary. Here, Captain Olimar and a hoard of Pikmin are trying to defeat a giant R.O.B., when a red Pikmin points out to the captain that the Blue Falcon is speeding towards them. Captain Falcon ejects out of it, delivers a Falcon Punch to the R.O.B., and skids as he lands, destroying many Pikmin in the process.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U

The Blue Falcon once again appears as part of Captain Falcon's entrance. It is also featured in the Mute City stage, in which it is one of the vehicles that can appear as a platform; on this stage, it is given its 16-bit appearance from the original F-Zero.

Mario Kart series

Mario Kart Wii

Main article: Blue Falcon (kart)

In Mario Kart Wii, there is a vehicle called the Blue Falcon, and was available for lightweight characters. Baby Mario's Blue Falcon had the same color as the real Blue Falcon.

The enemy gets sent to a racetrack, at which point the Blue Falcon screams down at a ridiculous speed and launches the unlucky victim. What track is it? Where did the machine come from? This is one technique that's an utter mystery.
