Green Cheep-Cheeps are Green versions of Cheep-Cheeps that appear mainly in Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3. Unlike regular Cheep-Cheeps, they sometimes swim faster, the jump out of water less, and they have slightly different patterns while underwater. They are similar to Deep-Cheeps however unlike Deep-Cheeps the Green Cheep-Cheep doesn't chase Mario (or Luigi).

Green Cheep-Cheeps appear in Super Mario Maker, Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, and Super Mario Maker 2 in the Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3 styles. They can be used by shaking a regular Cheep-Cheep. For the Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. U styles, they are replaced with Blurps and Deep-Cheeps respectively however all variants are named Cheep-Cheeps.
