Mr. Resetti (real name Sonny Resetti) is a major recurring character in the Animal Crossing series. He is a mole with a yellow hardhat, blue overalls, and a pickaxe. In the Animal Crossing games, Mr. Resetti will appear if the player shuts off or resets the game without saving. Mr. Resetti will belittle and berate the player every time they do so, with his speeches become longer and irate with succeeding resets. He also has a brother named Don Resetti who substitutes for him on occasion.

Super Smash Bros. series

Super Smash Bros. Melee

Mr. Resetti first appears as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee to promote the then-forthcoming release of the Nintendo GameCube game, Animal Crossing.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Mr. Resetti in Super Smash Bros. Brawl

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Resetti appears as an Assist Trophy. When summoned, Resetti will begin to give a speech chastising the players over not saving their game, sometimes even calling out the players on the stage or making impressions of them. His speech bubbles will block the top or bottom parts of the screen, depending on his position. Occasionally, Resetti might create a small explosion after being attacked. After his speech is done, Resetti will disappear.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, Mr. Resetti does not return as an Assist Trophy, but there is a trophy of him shared between both games. In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, the Mr. Resetti trophy is obtained by keeping the game on for over ten hours.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mr. Resetti only appears as a spirit.

Mario franchise

Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour

In Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, Mr. Resetti's name can appear on the leaderboard of Lakitu Valley, only during Lakitu Star Cup, and in Bowser Badlands, only during Bowser Star Championship.

Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mr. Resetti also appears as an obstacle in the Animal Crossing course from Animal Crossing × Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. He acts similarly to a Monty Mole, and does not appear in the winter version of the track.

Super Mario Maker

Mr. Resetti is among the several costumes in Super Mario Maker.
