Koffing is a Poison-type Pokémon introduced in the first generation of Pokémon games. It evolves into Weezing at level 35.

In Super Smash Bros., Koffing appears as a Poké Ball Pokémon. When summoned, it uses Poison Gas, which continuously damages any opponents near it. It also damages any opponents that touch it. While Koffing does not appear in Super Smash Bros. Melee, it is replaced by its evolution Weezing, which uses the same attack with the same effect.

Koffing reappears as an enemy in Smash Run mode in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. After inflating itself for a while, it releases Poison Gas, which damages the player while lowering stats. These stats are automatically restored without having to be collected if the Koffing is destroyed. In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Koffing appear in Smash Tour mode, where Koffing releases a Smokescreen that obscures the entire board for one turn.

Koffing File:KoffingTrophy3DS.png This Poison-type Pokémon's balloon-like body is filled with toxic gases. In Smash Run, it floats over to fighters and expels gas at regular intervals. If the gas touches you, the stats you've worked so hard to build up will drop! Attack while it's deflated to take it down safely, and then help yourself to the many, many items it leaves behind.
