Mega Cheep Cheeps are a larger counterpart of Cheep Cheeps who appear in every New Super Mario Bros. game and all three Super Mario Maker games. One of them (called Big Cheep-Cheep) also makes an appearance in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. This type is considered to be one of the largest category of said species.

History

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures

These large-sized Cheep-Cheeps first appear in The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures alongside the normal size. They reside in the Desert of Doubt's first stage. The large Cheep-Cheeps charge at Link, and can cause critical damage if they touch him.

Super Mario series

Fire Mario shoots a fireball at a Mega Cheep Cheep in World 3-1 in New Super Mario Bros..

In New Super Mario Bros., they are named Mega Cheep-Cheeps.[1] They do not target Mario or Luigi, but instead will follow a path oblivious to them, just like normal Cheep Cheeps. Mega Cheep-Cheeps are colored orange and are similar to Boss Basses. Each one is usually followed by about three Cheep Cheeps. In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, their size has been reduced so they appear to just be slightly bigger. However, in New Super Mario Bros. 2, they regain their original size, but in New Super Mario Bros. U its size is reduced again.

Mario Party series

Mario Party 7

Mega Cheep-Cheeps reappeared in Mario Party 7, in the minigames Cheep Chump and Rowed to Victory.

Mario Party 8

Mega Cheep-Cheeps also make a minor appearance in Mario Party 8. In the minigame Rowed to Victory, the losing team of boaters will be chased by a Mega Cheep-Cheep and a few Cheep-Cheeps.

Mario Party DS

A Mega Cheep-Cheep also appeared in the game Mario Party DS in the minigame Cheep Chump. It will try to suck in the player by creating a whirlpool. It also makes the largest whirlpool, making it harder to avoid.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star

Main article: Big Cheep Cheep (mini-boss)

In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, a Big Cheep Cheep appears as a mini-boss.
