They resemble [[Mega Mole]]s ([[Monty Mole]]s in the remake), are dressed as presenters, and give presents to Mario and Luigi, such as items, clothing, or badges. Asking them again after getting the item will result in them telling the player that they are greedy, and that they cannot receive any more items. In the original game, Presenters are yellow in color, have the shades, hair, and mouths of Mega Moles, and wear red bow ties; in the remake, they simply look like Monty Moles, but still have the bow ties.

Presenter, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
A Presenter giving Mario and Luigi a 1-Up Super in Bowser's Castle.

Presenters (generically referred to in English guides as "moles"[1][2]) are a friendly species of Monty Mole featured in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Presenters are yellow moles who heavily resemble Mega Moles that wear a red bowtie. Presenters are usually hidden in various locations, usually in a hidden area or after an optional hidden platforming challenge. When Mario or Luigi find a Presenter, they usually give the Bros. either an item, a piece of clothing, or a badge. Talking to a Presenter after getting their item will result in them telling the Mario Bros. that they are greedy, and that they cannot receive any more items. In the Nintendo 3DS remake, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, Presenters were replaced with bowtie wearing Monty Moles as confirmed by Play Nintendo.[3]

Trivia

  • In the section talking about the Presenter in Joke's End from the Nintendo Power guidebook, it explicitly makes a reference to real life moles.[5]
  • Despite Presenters not reappearing in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, the standard Monty Moles that replaced them would be referred to as Presenter in the game's files.[6] This likely suggests that Presenters were initially planned to return in the remake, but were later replaced with standard Monty Moles at some point during development.
