Waddle Dees are a species in the Kirby franchise. They are similar to Goombas, in that they are the most common and weakest enemies to come across. However, unlike Goombas, Waddle Dees are carefree, and do not generally try to hurt Kirby. Waddle Dees mainly just made their only Mario-related appearances in the Super Smash Bros. series.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, a Waddle Dee appeared as a trophy.

They appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, acting as one of King Dedede's attacks, Waddle Dee Toss. King Dedede tosses a Waddle Dee at his opponent, and after it hits, the Waddle Dees continue to walk around the stage. The Waddle Dee's relative, the Waddle Doo, may also appear during this attack. Four Waddle Dees were seen carrying King Dedede's throne around the stage, which is his battle entrance.

Waddle Dees also appear in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS; they have been removed from King Dedede's moveset, being replaced by Gordos, but Parasol Waddle Dees appear in the version-exclusive mode Smash Run.
