The '''Maxim Tomato''' is an [[item]] in the Kirby series also used in the ''Super Smash Bros.'' series.

In ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]'', if a character picked it up, he or she would be healed 100% points of damage. However, since the player can have more than 100% damage, eating a Maxim Tomato does not actually guarantee that they will be fully healed. For example, if a character had 150% and picked one up, their damage meter would decrease to 50% damage.

In ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'' they acted similarly, but only healed 50% worth of damage. The item returns in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'' and has the same effect.

The Maxim Tomato is an item in the Kirby series that can heal Kirby's health entirely. It also appears as an item in every installment in the Super Smash Bros. series, also healing a larger amount of damage than normal food. In Super Smash Bros., if a character eats a Maxim Tomato, it heals them for 100% of damage. In any later games, however, the tomato only heals for 50% of damage.

Maxim Tomatoes cure 50 percentage points of your accumulated damage. Once you eat one, after a brief moment, your damage meter slowly drains the appropriate amount, regardless of whether or not you pick up another item right afterwards. In the Kirby series, these juicy, health-restoring items were a favorite of the pink hero.

Maxim Tomato File:BrawlTrophy489.png GB Kirby's Dream Land A juicy tomato that heals 50 percentage points of the damage you've accumulated. When one of these appears in combat, rest assured there will be a race to see who can reach it first. It's a race of desperation between players who want to heal their damage and those who want to stop them from doing so. In the Kirby series, Maxim Tomatoes healed all damage.
